| Amphiptere
The word 'amphiptere' is commonly used to describe a winged serpent. Some legends of amphipteres say that they have feathers, while others have scales and webbed wings. In none of these legends does it say that an amphiptere has limbs, unless they are small and useless as tools to walk or pick up things.
Amphipteres are usually said to have yellow-green feathered wings or green webbed wings, and with a demon-like triangular tail sometimes tipped with feathers. | |
