Kirin

In Chinese mythology, kirin are similar to unicorns. They have bodies of deer and scales of carp (or dragon scales, depending on the belief). According to legend, kirin appear before good-natured and virtuous people. They have a stick on their foreheads as opposed to the unicorn's horn. Kirin are good omens and don't trample the plants they walk upon.
