| Amaltheia Goat
Amaltheia is commonly thought of as the Greek god Zeus's foster mother. At Societas Magic, this 'mother' is a magical goat with horns that produced ambrosia and nectar, the food and drink of the Greek gods.
In Greek mythology, the goat Amaltheia fed Zeus when he was a child. Nymphs tended to his other needs. When Zeus was old enough, he left his foster family with Amaltheia. As a thank-you for treating him so well, the nymphs were gifted the goat's horns. Zeus used its hide to create an impenetrable breastplate, and that was the end of Amaltheia the magical goat.
