| Me? I always use goggles, then dive deep down close to the bottom. I start off with a long sweep of the arms, bringing them from close to my chest to the outside. Then I do the doggy paddle. =P |

| Mermaid swimming is fast. I think it's called the Butterfly Stroke. When I jump, I can only do a cannonball or a pencil dive correctly. But I do those two really well! I have a curved spine (scoliosis) so I can't get my back into the correct position for a dive. I don't like diving, anyway. I like making fun of my sister when she dives. 'Cause her dives always look like belly flops. |

Actually i think, (But I could be wrong) the butterfly stroke invovle the whole body. The legs bend to either side, and then inward and outward while the hands are turned out ward and push outward. All the while you're supposed to be underwater. I say this because I had a friend that swam for sport. |

| I beat some of my friends in swimming races.
I used to do the mermaid incorrectly: instead of moving my legs as one, and only a little, I would move them down strongly and up weakly, only moving forward on the downstroke. It was very difficult to do and got me nowhere. :3 |
